plastic pouring
These materials may/may not include additives such as dyes according to the RAL colour chart, with 30% GF (glass fibre), glass spheres or other.
ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene)
offers a balanced combination of mechanical toughness, chemical resistance, wide temperature range, electrical insulating properties, good dimensional stability and is easy to manufacture. Due to its toughness and rigidity, it is well resistant to impact.
PA (Polyamide)
nylons are semi-crystalline injection moulded plastics with a sound range of properties. They have a good cost-performance ratio. Lower number nylons (6, 6-6, 4-6) absorb moisture, consequently changing their properties. They consist of reinforcements, fillers and additives, which give very different properties.
PE (Polyethylene)
is a non-toxic, odourless and tasteless material, resistant to grease and many chemicals. Flexible and light-weight, and are translucent to transparent in thin layers. Very tough and flexible, even at relatively low temperatures. Polyethylenes are easy to process and can be dyed. Good product quality is achieved in moulds with hot channels, recommended in particular for ionomers and copolymers. Ionomers require longer cooling times.
